Chelsea Flower Show is officially underway! The world’s most prestigious flower show, that inspires millions by showcasing the best in garden design, is open to the public from 22nd to 26th May.
Here in Victoria, we are celebrating some London highlights of this social season with a number of activities…

Parklets

Victoria BID teamed up with the Sir Simon Milton Foundation in 2016 to create a garden at Chelsea Flower Show. The resulting ‘Urban Connections‘ garden highlighted the power of green spaces in reducing isolation and loneliness. Having won a silver medal at the show, the garden was then divided into sections to create three parklets in Victoria.

These parklets are now located outside 22 Gillingham Street (on the corner at the junction with Wilton Rd), on 89 Ecclestone Square (outside the Passport Office) and on Spenser Street. People flourish when in the company of others, so why not take a seat to enjoy a shared moment, make friends or celebrate old acquaintances?

Pop up flower garden

Victoria BID have brought another little slice of the Chelsea Flower Show to the neighbourhood by creating a garden in Victoria Place Shopping Centre. The mini garden will be on display until Friday 25th May and is ideally located for those travelling to or from the show via the station. Simply go through Victoria Place Shopping Centre and then take the bus (Buses #170, #11 or #211 will all get you there in 18 minutes)

Picnic areas

Take in the neighbourhood’s natural flora and fauna by heading outdoors to one of the local picnic areas. At Lower Grosvenor Garden you can relax and recline in one of the deck chairs while over at Westminster Cathedral Piazza a number of tables and chair sets can be used daily; making it an ideal spot for an al fresco lunch!

#BelgraviaInBloom – A bouquet of events
